World War 1 just ended and everybody in Washington County is celebrating. All of our wonderful men in arms are coming back from the war, including me. Many of the women that had to fill in for jobs when the soldiers left are losing them because the men are back. Rumors are the women are planning to change some things, but the men don’t believe them. I believe many things will be changing soon, even though they didn’t change much here during the war. Although many people are scared I’m not, I believe that our country will always be protecting you, me, and everyone.
