Disney was awarded a Presidential Medal of Freedom and a Congressional Gold Award. He received an Irving G. Thalberg Memorial Award, DeMolay Legion of Honor, Honorary Cesar, DGA Honorary Life Member Award, David di Donatello, and New York Film Critics Circle Special Award. Disney made 50 short films in his lifetime. Beginning in 1923 and ending in 1966. His short films include The Tortoise and The Hare, Goofy and Wilbur, Mickey Mouse. Disney made 81 movies in his lifetime. The first being Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 1937 and his last, The Jungle Book in 1967. His movies include Fantasia, Bambi, and Lady and the Tramp. Altogether he made 131 different films in his life.
He showed an early interest in art and he pursued his interest, now his is famous. He also had an interest in trains, his uncle who was a train engineer helped spark the interest. Disney went to work at the rail road stations, passing newspapers to travelers as a summer job.
