How Did Vladek Spiegelman Survive The Holocaust

Everyone in the world each have their unique problems of their own to deal with but surviving the Holocaust was a problem that not only killed people but had killed people mentally and emotionally. To what seems to be the case for Vladek Spiegelman and his point of view on life and the behavior of others.Vladek’s story had not only impacted him as an individual but the whole jewish community for generations and decades to come. Not only having guilt for himself but that guilt will carry in in the family pass like a wounded scratch that leaves a scar at the end. Surviving the Holocaust had impacted Vladek’s way of life and the relationships with other people. Vladek Spiegelman had a normal life with a family of his own just like you and had lived the same way most of us do everyday. Vladek has a wife named Anja, a baby boy named Richieu but sadly had both died in the Holocaust (one died during the Holocaust and one died after the Holocaust due to the pain and guilt). Life was going good for Vladek, he had 2 girlfriends but then married one had a job and had relatives and close ones. Vladek after the Holocaust and even years later still are living in fear from the event because it was something out of the natural. So much fear and pain it was the cause of his wife Anja’s death because she just could not take the pressure. Even though it was a bad event Vladek had learned so new ways how to survive and make everything useful. For an example on page. 116 it shows Vladek reaching down and picking up a scrap of garbage and saying that it has a useful purpose because picking up valuables and stuff on the floor was another reason why Vladek had survived the Holocaust. With the stuff that he had picked up off the floor he could get goods and everyday needs by trading all of the valuables he found off the
