1. The freedom of America.
I would fight for my freedom. If I was a soldier, I would stay to fight because I would like my freedom to speak and use actions. I feel that I would want to say what I want to say. My actions is because of my religion. I would want to go to whatever church and believe what I believe. The first two years had gone well for the army. But after two years, George Washington has been unable to stop the British and a lot of his soldiers began to quit the army. If I was in the army I would have stayed. I have three documents of why I would stay. (doc.A) Sickness and Death. (doc.B) Congressional Committees. (Doc.D) general Washington’s essay.

A lot of people have been getting sick because the US soldiers did not have very good houses. The soldiers also got ill because they were shoeless and got frost bite. The soldiers had to battle in cold weather. At Valley Forge, in two months there were a total of 4000 soldiers who had died. There was an estimate of 1800 to 2500 deaths due to illness during encampment. I would fight against the British at Valley Forge even if there were a lot of illness occurring. I would fight for my freedom. It is very important to me.

George Washington brought the Congressional Committee to meet the soldiers at Valley Forge. The soldiers came up with the document. This document would be used to argue for quitting the army. They needed more food and they wanted to live in a better house and not in huts. If you would present to the continental committee what would you do?
