How Did Ursula Burns Become A Leader

Name of Company: Xerox Corporation
Name of leader: Ursula Burns. Burns made history in 2009, becoming the first African America woman CEO to head a Fortune 500 Company.

Burns was part of a small group of executives who rescued Xerox from near bankruptcy in 2001 and began moving the company away from its machine-making roots and into a different business entirely. While remaining a leader in copying and printing. She transformed Xerox by managing more of a business process for technology and printing. She also expanded into insurance and managing claims forms for a health insurer and transportation handling process such as customs and bills of lading.

I chose this company to research and learn about because I wanted to research companies
