When Tituba was accused of witchcraft by the girls she had lost her only friends in the world, and immediately started crying out. At first she was beaten, and she denied of any dealings with the devil. As things went on, and she was promised her life would be saved if she were to confess. In order to save her life she admitted her sin of witchcraft, and accused other people were involved to. Fear drove Tituba to admit to something she never did, and she even ended up accusing innocent women out of fear also.
Abigail used fear as her weapon throughout the play right up until the day she left. Abigail accused many innocent people to death with the power that she held. She managed to accuse John and Elizabeth Proctor of dealing with the devil.
