How Did The Wright Brothers Change The World

Orville and Wilbur Wright- also known as the Wright Brothers, were most famous for the invention of the gas-powered aircraft. In History, they have become the inventors of the first successful airplane. This also earned them the honor of being first in flight. Although there were creators of airplanes before them, the other inventors didn’t create them with the same ideas. They invented different types of aircraft, trying to perfect them. A good question to ask is, did these brothers know their invention could change the world? The Wright’s lived in a small town in Indiana when Orville and Wilbur were born. They grew up in a very close and loving family. Wilbur and Orville both were curious and had a talent for science. These two brothers did everything together! They talked over so many things that nearly everything they did in their lives was the outcome of a discussion. Once grown, they settled down for good in Dayton, Ohio. …show more content…
Other people may have invented the flying aircraft, but theirs was the first successful aircraft that maintained flight. On December 17, 1903, the Wright brothers flew and invented the first controlled aircraft. Before the Wright Brothers, there were many other attempt to make them like a bird would fly. Though these did not work, they had a good idea of how it should work. Their aircraft soared to an altitude of 10 feet, traveled 120 feet, and landed 12 seconds after it took off. These numbers may not make any sense to you, but for them, this was the most amazing news in the world!
