The Treaty of Versailles did not promote WWII, but what did was the goals that the German Dictator Hitler had to have German people spread and eventually take over most if not all the world, the failure of peace efforts after WWI happened, and the rise of fascism.
Hitler had two main goals and one large goal that he wanted to accomplish. He did not expect to finish and accomplish these goals during the war but had the idea to start them. His larger goal was to make German people such a big group that they could spread. Hitler wanted more living space for German people. His first move was to bring all of central Europe together to make a larger Germany and to form more room so they can eventually take over Poland. Allowing Germany to grow and get the German nation to seize lebensraum. Hitler tested European by going against the treaty of Versailles many times. Going against the treaty of Versailles was very common and actually was one of the main causes of why it failed. His second goal was to eventually get a final reckoning of Jews to get rid of jews, he thinks the world would be better without them. Living standards had gone down and there was a large lack of food. The economic downfall that follows the 1929 stock market crash had a very dramatic impact on European and American nations. People were ready for a real leader they wanted someone to protect them and show them what they needed to do. After things went back the rise of Fascism became an even bigger thing. They wanted someone that would not let this things happen and that would protect their countries. People were losing homes, places were running out of space and that is why things crashed and why people wanted to invade and take over other countries so they could extend theirs and have a good stable
