Following World War I, the Treaty of Versailles was published to help settle disputes that followed the war. This treaty was created by the Presidents of The United States, Great Britain, France, and Italy. Although it helped the Allies and settled the things they were mad about it did not help the Central powers. It only got them angrier. Therefore, I think that this treaty was a cause of World War II. In June of 1919 when the Treaty of Versailles was ready, noone was satisfied with it, especially Germany. Germany was not allowed to send delegates to the peace talks in Paris, and was shocked by the terms of it. The representatives had no choice but to sign. The treaty limited the size of Germany's military and stripped Germany of their colonies overseas. All of these things infuriated Germany. When Adolf Hitler, chancellor of germany at the time, thought it was time for war it was easier to convince the germans it was time also. They remembered that they had to pay and it made them want to declare war more. The Treaty of Versailles took away their military strength and land. This made the Germans feel unsafe after this long war they went through. Germany was mad after this they would do anything to come back strong. They wanted to show that they could earn back their land and strong army. Also the economy in Germany went down.
