There was many stories from soldiers on how the war had an effect in their life whether during the war or after they survived and went to their homes. In the movie, When the colonel Henry Fonda tells John Wayne that they saw Apache as they came near to the fort and Wayne tells him that it is probably not Apache as they were able to see it. However the colonel is obsessed and didn 't follow Wayne 's information as if he is dealing with it as a movie not a real war in Vietnam. These are not cartoons where everything gets smashed and broken and then come back again as if nothing happened and as if nobody dies. These information viewed to the American people had a huge impact on them and most people felt sorry for the innocent kids and people who died in the war without even trying to be part
