How Did The Industrial Revolution Change America

The Industrial Revolution in the 1800s forged a path to where we are now in America, and changed our lives for the better. Inventions and technology were made that allowed America, along with the rest of the world, to pull from Natural Resources. Technology such as transportation and factories advanced the world out of the dark ages. Other amazing events occurred that improved society, government’s role in economy, and social problems and reform. The Industrial Revolution started off with Technology and Industrial Growth. Factories were made and people were employed to start mass producing essential supplies. Such as medical tools, interchangeable gun parts, and ammunition. During the ongoing war, mass producing these were vital because medical supplies and weaponry are what wars are made up of. Immigrants sought work along with woman and children. It would be thought that since so many family members were working that there would be plenty of money for them to live off of. Unfortunately 12 hour work days were required for each family member to scrape by in the economy. Work wasn’t a choice but a necessity because the workers were being so mistreated and underpaid it was the only thing to be done to buy a next meal. Many workers even lived in towns owned by companies where they would be paid by precision to live in that town financially. Workers were tired of being mistreated and finally struck back in ways that would affect the employers. Workers went on strike and said they wouldn’t work until the working conditions would better.
