The Industrial Revolution was a time of great technological innovations, seeing new things appear that are still very much in use in today's society. To a partial extent it is true to state that the Industrial Revolution from 1750 to 1914 made the world a better place. It is also partially true to state that the Industrial revolution ruined many lives, and had a negative impact on society. The industrial revolution created many new ways of generating electricity, and with that came easier transport, but it also brought machines that could do the work of thousands, leading to the loss of jobs and rioting. Some of the machines that were made during the industrial revolution made work a lot easier. Some of these machines could have 1 person doing the work of hundreds. This made work much easier, but it also meant thousands of people were then unemployed. The machines would have made life considerably better for factory owners and the few who still had work, but it would have made life much worse for most middle class people during the revolution. …show more content…
Some of them, like the car, have been improved and worked on countless times, and are now so readily available that they have become a part of daily life for almost all middle class people. Other inventions are still in use today, but aren't generally used by most of the general public, like dynamite. If the industrial revolution had not taken place, then today's society would be very different. Long distance travel would be difficult, and work would still be mostly back-breaking
