Henry Jasik graduated with a doctorate degree in electrical engineering from the Polytechnic Institute of Brooklyn in 1953. He founded Jasik Laboratories where he worked on antennas. Jasik’s original work dealt with the improvement of the antennas cooling system in order to improve the rate of failure. The Henry Jasik Papers archive shows Jasik’s work on antennas as well as the eventual applications of his work. There are pictures, technical papers, newspaper cutouts, advertisements and blueprints that show the evolution of Jasik’s work. Through the analysis of the archive, one can see the factors that influenced the trajectory of antennas. Jasik tried to improve the antenna in order to make it a reliable technology.
