The Greeks were intellectual, sophisticated, and artistic. On the hand, the Romans were hardworking and many of them were farmers. The Romans started to adapt Greek ideas around 500 BC as they realized the benefits they could reap. Eventually, Greece became known as a major influence on almost every aspect of the Roman empire. The first concept of the democracy was introduced and established in Greece during its Golden Age. The Roman people took this concept and proceeded to use at their own. The Romans took the existing religion of the Greeks and made it their own. The Greek myths and gods remained the same, but they were given different names under the Roman religion.
