The Declaration of Independence & The Constitution go neck and neck when it comes allowing Americans the right to live Independent and Safely. During the time that these Documents were written Citizens of Britain were forced to break away because the treatment they were receiving by the British Government. The government was forcing the People to house Soldiers, they were taxing almost everything and forcing them to give up what was there's. These acts Forced the Colonists to write the Declaration of Independence, then later forced the Bill of Rights to protect the people from the abuse of a Government. The British government in this time did multiple things to force the Americans to take action, for example they sent British forces/troops to serve and “protect” the colonies from danger and forced the colonists provide food and shelter for them, they couldn't say no. …show more content…
These rights are Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. The Constitution and the Bill of Rights both Protect us Americans from anyone or anybody from trying to take this rights away from us. They protect us because in the Declaration of Independence they saw how much of an impact those rights made so they were restated in both the Constitution and Bill of Rights. All of these examples clearly state how the Declaration of Independence Influenced the writing of the Constitution. America wanted to make sure the government or anyone in power wouldn’t ever step over the boundary lines that were set because of the abuse they were tired of receiving. This issue still occurs constantly, and in my opinion it will never be solved because of the amount of people in this world that let the taste of power get to there
