World War Two Ends, Cold War Begins June 25 1950 is the year that the cold war started which is only five years after World War II started on 8 May 1945. The two who were fighting in the war was the Soviet Union and The United States. For example,” The Soviet Union and the United States had fought as allies against Nazi Germany during World War II. But the alliance began to crumble as soon as the war in Europe ended in May 1945.” (“The Cold War”) this shows that just after fighting the war against the Nazi’s they were already itching to go at it with each other. For example in Korea all the children there had their life sets. As in if you passed elementary you had to choose from the options they gave you and there wasn’t any other choice. Some people were chosen to keep going to school up to high school and if you passed you had to choose from another harder options of jobs to do, and same thing for the people who got to go to college.
