Most of their songs were hits at parties, but added more negative thoughts into the people that listen to their sounds. These negative thoughts influenced young people to make poor decisions that could horribly impact their life. In their songs, they were rapping about gunning people down, violence, and drugging women. All of those actions involve going to prison and facing serious punishments. The Beastie Boys became famous and an influence on multiple individuals. As well as their lyrics, the Beastie Boys had loads of influence on people. For most of their career, they influenced people in a negative way. As they grew older, the effects their music had on others became obvious. “DIAMOND: We’re a lot more complex than people think. We’re very fortunate in that the music we’ve made has incorporated so many influences. When we put them together, we make something that has the touch and feel of the three of us. Lyrically, it’s the same thing. We could have stayed just being that one thing- in which case, who knows what would’ve happened to us by now.” The music group always tried to have hysterical, funky lyrics with an even better beat. People followed the messages of them since
