Leading to the Modern World
Who does not know Thomas Alva Edison? We can presumably infer that every single person in this world know who he is — the light bulb inventor. While we know him well, who knows Nicola Tesla? People tend not to realize that Tesla’s electricities, the Alternative Current model, are implemented worldwide nowadays. Hence, Tesla’s contributions are also as beneficial as Edison’s. Both of them were renown inventors who pioneered many of modern leading technologies regarding their developmental inventions, contributions to communication, and electricities break trough.
First of all, Edison and Tesla had their own background to develop inventions. Tesla, as a mere child, conducted some formal schools; however, those schools did not affect a lot of Tesla’s later electricities. As there was no any background in electricity, Tesla firstly had the idea of induction motor theory while he was working at the Central Telephone Exchange in Budapest, which has become the core of …show more content…
This informal education had emerged all of Edison’s later inventions, such as the phonograph and the light bulb. In addition, he had not had any formal education since he was expelled out from his elementary school due to his mental disability.
Despite having different background, both of Tesla and Edison had some contribution to the communications, in which they invented some of the modern technologies in communication. Tesla invented the Tesla Coil, which was being used in radio technology before 1920. It is still being used today as leak detectors for high vacuum systems. This invention, a resonant transformer circuit to generate higher voltage electricity, created the foundation for wireless technologies. In addition, Tesla also invented the basic remote control that was used later for
