He came to the United States in 1884 and worked for some time with Thomas Edison before they both parted ways. He sold many patent rights, including those to his alternating-current machinery, to George Westinghouse. Edison, Westinghouse and other big corporations bought out Tesla, though Tesla did have many inventions that were for all practical purposes, stolen. Tesla was also working JPMorgan, a financier endorsing his products. Now Edison just didn't have as smart inventions as Tesla did, which i would believe because without Tesla’s invention, the Alternating Current, we would have to spend so much money to maintain a direct current country.
