So he published under an anonymous name, Richard Bachman, “ He came up with the alias after seeing a novel by Richard Stark on his desk (which it turned out was a pseudonym used by Donald Westlake) coupled with what he heard playing on his record player at the time—"You Ain't Seen Nothin' Yet," by Bachman Turner Overdrive.” He also had to find a willing publisher too. He finally got a publisher, Richard Manuel, King’s literary agent. Even though King struggled with publishing more than one book a year, he also struggled with his confidence in his stories. One of his most famous novel, Carrie, when he was first writing it, he thought that it was a stupid story. King apparently threw away the novel for thinking that the publishers would also think that the story is stupid, luckily his wife, Tabitha, retrieved out from the trash and told him to at least send it to a publisher and that the worst thing that could happen is that they reject it. It turned out to be one of his best-selling books and was turned into a successful movie starring Sissy
