Somewhere else in Damascus a disciple named Ananias had a vision of Jesus Christ saying that Paul is chosen to lead people and help them convert to Christianity. So Ananias found Paul at Judas’s house and told him that Jesus sent him to restore his sight. and when Ananias laid hands on Paul his sight was restored and later he was baptized and became a Christian. In Paul’s story he saw the vision of Christ, none of the people around him saw the vision. So God wanted this to only be sent to one person, Paul or Saul. Saul was his original name but after his conversion he changed his name to Paul.Paul’s conversion is legitimate because of the Divine revelation that he had on the road to Damascus. The only way he was cured from his blindness was because the of the Holy Spirit. Paul was not depressed on his way to Damascus so he did not convert because of depression. By his vision and the Holy Spirit fixing his blindness he definitely came closer to God and it also made him feel better because he could see and he was back to eating. While some of the conversion to christianity are because of depression and or a depressive episode Paul’s conversion is one of the most legitimate conversions to this
