After the industrialization of American people started to move out of the country sides and into urban communities. Everyone wanted to live in the big cities and make large amounts of money to be a part of the higher class of people but not all people made it large amounts of them lived in poverty in tenement living. The housing to me was a major difference from before. People lived in apartment style housing were a family of 8 would live in 2 bedrooms with only one or 2 windows. These families also took in new immigrants into their homes. This cramped style of living caused disease to travel quite quickly.
