Shakespeare has a huge influence on today’s major media, like the Harry Potter series. Shakespeare’s influence has made several contributions to today’s society, one of these contributions includes a direct use of Shakespeare's work in Harry Potter The Shakespeare reference appeared in the third book of the Harry Potter series, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. The allusion is the song sung by the three witches in Shakespeare’s play Macbeth. Additionally the Frog Choir sings this creepy song while the students are returning to their school. This can be seen as a sign indicating the school year will be dark and spooky. Also their singing creates a somber and ominous atmosphere. Another contribution would be it adds an intellectual view.
