Mass production is what also came along with the production of the cars. Cars being the reason of many other places opening up mass consumption meant that there had to be mass production. These three things of science and technology; bombs, cars, and military arms are what shaped the foreign policy, economy, and civil rights. Science and technology was what transformed our economy and our industries. In 1942 Roosevelt started the Manhattan project to try to covert the nuclear energy into a super bomb just before the Russians do. The Manhattan Project had over one hundred thousand Americans led by scientists, engineers and military men. They were working to win the race of the Russians at Los Alamos. Germany had surrendered just two months before the test of the bomb. After the bomb was made at Los Alamos and it was tested, President Truman heard about how impressive the bomb was. Truman realized that this new bomb could be used to end the war with Japan before the Russians could attack them. I have no doubt about Truman’s idea of using the bomb on Japan. Today, the atomic bomb is still a great factor but is also a threat to the United States. Recently north Korea threatens us with a nuclear bomb. History is being repeated as we speak as North Korea is a threat to trying to stock up on bombs but the United States refuse to get behind. Even though bombs are being a threat to the United States right now we still have our own nuclear bombs to our advantage and a stronger military than North Korea. Today we are travelling space not to keep ahead of Russia but to simply explore as NASA, they have found 7 planets that are earth-like that may hold water. NASA is still funded by the Federal budget passed by the United States Congress. If NASA keeps up with the space exploration, we will one day in the future be able to travel to a new world that we can live on that is like earth. The biggest contribution that is used day by day in ever country is the car, the biggest contribution to the economy is the car. Today cars still give people jobs all over the world; building highways, stores, factory jobs, ect.. The car has opened up so much to the citizens of each city around the world. The new and upcoming invention however will change the economy drastically. These new cars will be self-driven, many industries will be shut down leaving their workers jobless. The
