Sargon was born by parents he never knew (when?), and was placed by his mother, an Entu priestess, in a river, hoping for someone to find him. Later, an Akki, a drawer of water, found him and adopted him as their son. He was raised by the farmer to be a gardener and to make dates which contrasts the great leader which he came to be. (it doesn’t make sense - he made dates? Grew dates?) After growing up, Sargon’s first position of importance was being the cupbearer to Ur-Zababa, the king of Kish. He was such an influential leader that that two Assyrian rulers who came after him were named after him. His great accomplishments (what are these accomplishments?), and ruling style are what he is known for (What is his ruling style? You haven’t explained this), and is why he is such a great leader. His methods of maintaining power were unheard of (What are these methods exactly?), and are part of the reason that he was able to maintain power as long and effectively as he did. One of the biggest and largest spreading remnants of Sargon’s ruling was his language. The Akkadian language spread beyond the borders of Mesopotamia. The form of writing and art of his lands spread as well. The continuous spreading of his culture even after he died reveals that he had such a great influence, even after death it still
