"Roy Cooper, The One" Roy Cooper is fighting to become the new Governor of North Carolina, and he's well qualified for the role. Cooper has been North Carolina's Attorney General, since 2001. In this role Roy Cooper has facilitated the process of bringing justice to North Carolinians. Before being elected as North Carolina's General Attorney, Roy Cooper was one of North Carolina's voices in the Senate. Prior to being the General Attorney and a Senator, Roy Cooper served in the House of Representatives, placed there by the good people of North Carolina. Roy Cooper has been representing North Carolina on a national level since 1986. 30 years in service to this great state, and he wants to improve it even more, by becoming North Carolina's Governor.

He has realized the importance of teachers in this mission, and he wants to raise teacher pay. There are people who are passionate about teaching the future of America, but they also have to pay bills. These great teachers are the priceless foundation to a better education for a child, and they must be paid as such. Teachers also need support, and that's where the teacher assistants come in; they have been getting laid off, and they are essential to getting children the education they deserve. Roy Cooper promises to stop these layoffs. The teachers and teacher assistants need their tools, the textbooks they use to teach, and there's been cuts to the funds that supply these materials. Roy Cooper is reversing these cuts, and there has also been cuts to the school bus system. These men and women work tirelessly busing children to and from school, 5 days a week. They don’t deserve to be out of jobs.
Speaking of jobs, Roy Cooper wants to bring everyone’s income up. He sees that unemployment is on the rise, and wages are shrinking. Some of the conservatives do not support helping the people that need it, even with though that is exactly what tax money should be employed for. This is one good thing about Roy Cooper, he’s standing up for the middle class, and he isn’t backing down. He would also stop what current North Carolina Governor Pat McCrory is trying to do. Pat McCrory is trying to repeal acts that protect North Carolina’s water, air and other natural resources. Despite being having a stellar platform, Roy Cooper is not perfect. He would like to stop Syrian refugee immigration to North Carolina. These people have nowhere to go, North Carolina is possibly their only hope to live a life that isn’t filled with fear every moment. Roy Cooper would deny a peaceful existence to ordinary people. Another flaw to Roy Cooper’s campaign is that he doesn’t have a diverse range of opinions in the media. His opinions on key subjects are unknown to the public, such as his opinion on foreign policy, oil or how he feels about abortion. These are things the public needs to know, because they need someone who is a representation of North Carolina’s values speaking for
