How Did Romeo And Juliet Make Bad Decisions

During the adolescent years, many teenagers make poor decisions without any logic and or reasoning. It puts them at risk of dying two times more than when they were preteens. In the story of Romeo and Juliet, Shakespeare tells an inspiring story about two young lovers who make many decisions in order to be together. Their decisions were mostly caused by external influences. Romeo and Juliet were from the Montagues or Capulet families. The two families were rivals who despised each other and carried a grudge that lasted for a long time. In the beginning scenes of the epic love story, a fight breaks out because of two Capulet servants who start a conflict between the Montagues. Members from the families gather in the fight, including the head leaders, Lord Capulet and Lord Montague. The citizens of Verona ran in fear dodging the violence that they were witnessing. This shows how much hatred the families had for one another, but in an amusing way. This can be a struggle for Romeo and Juliet to hide their relationship without the two families knowing. In act 2, Romeo shares his feelings and relationship with Juliet to Friar Lawrence. This explains that Romeo has a closer relationship with the friar instead of his parents. He is able to open up more to him about personal matters, especially if it involves the Capulets. Juliet met a man named County Paris earlier in the story and now Juliet learned during act 3 she would have to marry County Paris on Thursday or defy her father. This causes Lord Capulet to declaring he would disown her if she refuses to obey. In other words, Juliet doesn't want to marry Paris. She previously married Romeo and had their “wedding night”. This could help clear the issues if Juliet accidently was pregnant with Romeo’s newborn. Juliet family and parents would assume it was County Paris’s baby after they got married and had their wedding
