For what reasons might a person's love for someone decrease? Everyone wants to fall in love and dream to have the love and dedication to the extent of Romeo and Juliet. Everyone wants to feel light in other people's lives and want to experience life with the people they truly love. But why? The experience makes people feel completely alive. It may only last a moment, an hour, or an afternoon. Since everyone is always just worried about finding love, nobody ever wants to worry about falling out of love. Hardly ever people think about why or how our love for someone would decrease or fade away. However, unfortunately it happens way too often. Even throughout modern perspectives and throughout Romeo and Juliet there will always be certain circumstances that will come up to where love for someone will decrease. People are constantly breaking up, getting divorced, and slowly losing the people they love. It’s because they don’t want to know the truth, which is people can be cruel and falling out of love can be just as random as falling into love. For instance Romeo thought that rosaline was the one for him, Romeo said , “Not having that, which, having, makes them short.” and ”Out of her favor, where I am in love.” all referring to Rosaline. When he wasn’t daydreaming about Rosaline in his room, he was moping around in a grove of "sycamore" trees. The thing is, Rosaline has absolutely no interest in Romeo, but he pursues her anyway. Maybe he's not in love with Rosaline as he is obsessed with the idea of being in love. Because the second he lays his eyes on Juliet he probably never thought about Rosaline ever again. He says, “What lady is that, which doth enrich the hand of yonder knight?”
