How Did Romeo And Juliet Change Throughout The Play

Shakespeare’s original title for Romeo and Juliet was “The most excellent and lamentable tragedy of Romeo and Juliet.” Romeo and Juliet is about a Montague and a Capulet falling in love with their families in a quarrel. Soon they end up getting married without anyone Friar Lawrence and the Nurse knowing. Then a dangerous plan throws everyone off and, they both ending up dying along with a couple others. In the play some of the character’s change effect the end of it. For instance, Romeos changes effect the plays ending. He is very dramatic, determined, and a devoted friend. First of all, throughout the play Romeo is very dramatic. In the beginning he is “lovesick” over Rosaline. He overacts because she doesn’t love him. Romeo says, “Nonsense I’ve lost myself, I’m not here. This isn’t Romeo. He’s somewhere else.” This shows me that he is acting dramatic toward this girl not liking him back. Romeo and Benvolio’s relationship is very tight. They are always helping one another out. You can see that there close when Benvolio says “I promise I will find out what’s wrong with Romeo and be his counsel.” This shows me that they have a really close friendship and Romeo will tell him mostly anything. Also, when he fights Tybalt for killing Mercutio he did that because he didn’t want Tybalt to get away with his crime. Also Romeo and Mercutio have a great bond and talk about different things throughout most of the play. When he got banished from Verona he, He met Balthasar. He was the one that told Romeo Juliet was dead and that and got him there to see her. Also he didn’t want to leave Romeos side knowing what he might do.
