The Romans created the world’s first republic a form of democracy which power is divided in different branches of government and people elect representatives to serve them in the government assemblies. When the Roman Republic fell an emperor replaced it in the power of the emperor would be a model of dictatorship in our modern world the fall of the Roman Empire took place in 133-33 B.C. The Roman Republic was divided into two groups the patricians who were descendants of the original families who founded Rome’s of and the plebeians who was everyone one else. There was much conflict between these two groups but they were able to compromise. The cause of Roman Republics falling was Julius Caesar he was the man who destroyed the Republic. . When leading senator’s endorsed Pompey as the less harmful to their cause and voted for Caesar to lay down his command and return as a private citizen to Rome, Caesar refused. He moved to Italy illegally Caesar then defeated Pompey and his allies. This left Caesar the ruler of the land he was then murdered a few years later. Antony who was Caesar’s ally had conflict with Octavian because the empire was large but not large enough for two leaders. Christianity advanced moderately the teachings of Christianity during this time were dispersed by preachers as well as writings. Even though the Romans destroyed Jerusalem the individual Christian churches were left with independence. Christian churches had then been entrenched in numerous primary cities. The Romans were not very fond of the Christians but that began to change. The Romans tolerated the other religions though they did view the religion as harmful. In the first century the affliction of Christians was infrequent by the second century Christianity was deemed harmless. By the third century Christianity was spread widely. The Christian message had more to offer and guaranteed and Christianity seemed well known. Christianity satisfied the need to belong in an impersonal way more so than the Roman Empire could
