I believe Roman Architecture and Engineering has the greatest impact on todays society.The power and the rulers of Rome decreased. But the historical events still existing in the city of Rome are rebuilt and remodeled.The place itself is still like it was.If you ever go there,all the models and buildings are still in the city. The emperor Vespasian built the coliseum,now it is a place for the public. It took 8 years to build,and it's about 160 feet tall.its the tallest ancient structure. Gladiators,slaves,animals were all used in the ring to kill for entertainment. We see them in concerts and many football games and other sporting event happen in stadiums like the Coliseum. A dome is a vault in the shape of a half circle that rests on a circular wall.They are used to cover sport stadiums and ancient buildings to make them look nicer and protecting things from damage. Domes were built with concrete to help people build much bigger structures.Concrete is mixed to make up the dome with mixed half crushed stones,cement,and water. The capital building in Washington D.C,and the Louisiana super dome are two examples of things that involve the dome. Roads,Coliseums,and Domes were very important to the Roman Legacies. Roads became the easiest way to carry transportation from place to place.The Coliseum has made the amount of people watching an event at a time,and the entertainment process easier. Domes were built with many different materials and are very pretty and are used in many important buildings. How awesome is the coliseum?
