Yuri Gagarin will go down in history as the first human to travel to space. He was born in a humble family in western Russia and like other influential personalities in history; economic difficulties were not an impediment to achieving their dreams and achieving things that make our lives easier today. Personally, I have chosen Yuri not so much as a character, but as the space landmark and his contribution to space research.
