There are times in history that revolutionize the way people think. The Renaissance was one of those times. In a short sentence, the Renaissance was basically the revival of classical art and intellect of Ancient Rome and Greece. This was a “rebirth” of the way people viewed themselves. The Renaissance took place in Europe and spread to Italy. This period of time occurred from 1350 to 1650. What this did was help review what European society was like before it arrived. So, how did the Renaissance change man’s view of man? The answer is simply through art, literature, and science. One thing that helped change man’s view of man during the Renaissance was through art. Document D has lots of evidence for this. The note states, “The image on the left reflects the Middle Ages belief that each zodiac governed a certain part of the body. For example, the constellation of stars called Aries the Ram controlled the head; Sagittarius the archer controlled the thighs.
