“We keep looking for Home and not finding it, so I thought that if we looked for this Pit, we’d be sure not to find it, which would be a Good Thing, because then we might find something that we weren’t looking for, which might be just what we were looking for, really.” (Benjamin Hoff pg 13). Although the others might not have understood what Pooh was implying in Pooh’s statement the message in it was quite clever. The home they were looking home might actually be under their noses although the pit is just a pit it could possibly be turned into a home. Sometimes people seek what they want and disregard what they need and inevitably discovering that they were wrong the same situation implies to this group of friends.
