According to a Works Projects Administration War Services Project poster, published in Pennsylvania between 1941 and 1943, it shows the first diverse group of armed forces. This shows how the US was socially affected because the US slowly letting more african americans and women join the military, so they could also have jobs and something to do. Another way these countries where socially affected was from a United States Office of War Information photo, dated October 1942, it shows a teacher teaching a young class about resources the families can bring in to support the military. According to section 3 or the National Archives Document, page 104 of “U.S. History: A Document- Based Skill Book” It states, “...the president may, from time to time, when he deems it in the interest of national defense, authorize the Secretary of War, the Secretary of the Navy, or the head of any other department or agency of the Government-” In other words the the president can take power to authorize Secretary of War. There for the lend-lease act affected the US socially because if they are practicing war or preparing war in private the people will be negatively affected because they won't be prepared if war actually happened. Also according to the same source it states, “whenever the President deems such purchase or acquisition to be necessary in the interests of the defence of the United States.” In short the president is also preparing for war, and being ready if it occurs. Therefore the other countries trying to attack the US are socially negatively affected because one, they won't be ready for the US to already be prepared. And two if the other countries lose the families will suffer and they won't be able to allie with the US and won't get those resources for the people to
