How Did Pearl Harbor Attack Justifiable

Was The Attack Justifiable On December 7, 1941 the Japanese attacked the United States largest naval base in the Pacific Ocean. This base was called Pearl Harbor. The attack was foreseen by the government we unaware where they would attack. On December 6th, our former President FDR received a message, that had been decoded, that the Japanese were going to deny all of America’s peace offerings and would attack in the near future. The attack on Pearl Harbor ended with 2,403 American casualties and 1,178 more wounded in the attack. The bombings were very controversial with people auguring if they were necessary or if it was just another military action that was unjustified.
After the attack the American Government started the Manhattan Project, the Manhattan Project was a secret project created for building and testing Atom Bombs. On July 16, 1945, the Manhattan Project tested out the first atomic bomb at White Sands Missile Range, in New Mexico, the project was a success. The first bomb tested had was more powerful than 20,000 tons of TNT, the United States became the first country to successfully create an atomic bomb. Their first humongous accomplishment was gaining access to Iwo Jima and Okinawa. The battle resulted in more than 75,000 american casualties. The Japanese navy had been almost annihilated in the battles as well. Once we had taken Iwo Jima and Okinawa we had demanded Japan to surrender completely or we would not hesitate to attack. They had refused the offer while thinking they were untouchable but unfortunately for them we were already close to their mainland.
