Mozart passed away on December 5th 1791 at the age of 35 in his home. His friends took care of the funeral and his burial. The funeral was very simple and poorly attended. At first, Mozart was consecrated in a cheap coffin at St. Stephen’s Cathedral. Later on, he was brought back to Vienna and buried in St. Marx cemetery and a monument was built in his honor. Yet memorial ceremonies and concerts that were done in Mozart’s honor witnessed massive attendance of his fans. Later on, Constanze managed to Mozart’s manuscripts that weren’t published which helped her gain money to pay all of Mozart’s debts thus she was able to send her boys to private schools and helped her maintain financial
