Fahrenheit 451 Like many book the book “Fahrenheit 451” is set in the future. The character that Ray Bradbury portrays is Guy Montag he is a fireman but fireman in this book are not the ones putting out fires they start them. The reason they start the fires is because book are illegal and anyone who is found possessing them will get their house burned. In the story Montag starts to realize that book aren’t bad but the government doesn’t want people to get ideas. In this story Montag changes in many ways, ways he never imagined.
In the beginning Montag is just as clueless as anyone can be. He was gullible to his superiors and did whatever they said. Being a fireman was a good job and one of the perks was that everyone respected you and fears you. Montag actually likes his job, getting payed good and burning things, it is a good like, but what he finds out is that his life is not good. Actually Montag was very unhappy what started this was when his wife almost died because of too many intake of pills, she would eat them and then forget and eat another one.

Now Clarisse is strange she does strange things like walk in the rain or tries to see if she's in love though a dandelion. Once Montag tries to see if he’s in love but he is not and that is what turned the flip in his brain that he was not happy with his life. Through his career he sees a lot of people not wanting to let go of the books and Montag thinks that is very strange and wants to know what is in the books. He takes some home and tries to read them, the reason he tries to read them is because he doesn’t know how to understand the books. Montag then tries to see if he can find someone who can teach him to understand how to
