Miep has had a tough life moving from place to place. She first lived in the Netherlands had to leave and live without her biological parents. She got “adopted” and started living with a family in Dutch. You need to know that she helped Jews stay away from the Nazis. Miep was a survivor because, she was considerate and brave, she risked her life for others. Miep showed she was brave by helping the Frank’s and their friends hide from the “Green Police”. As she was providing them with basic things for their life to try to make it as normal as possible she very easily could have been caught by anyone and turned in and would have suffered the same consequences that the Jews would have. Her separation from her parents at a young age had to be hard. Her moving so far away from home made her brave and tough. Losing your Biological parents at a young age must have been very tough for her. Although she probably missed her parents, friends, and family she had to stay tough for the families she provided for. Losing people she cared for had happened not only once but twice in her life. When the Frank’s and their friends were arrested by the Green police they are still not sure to this day who explained to the Nazis where their annex was located. Considerate, brave, caring, and willing to risk her life for others are just some of the traits Miep displayed. As Miep went through her tough life she was never placed in a Labor nor was she placed in a Concentration camp.
