The first TED talk I saw was Melinda Gates' presentation on non-profit organizations. Back then I was asking myself a question why this woman made a lasting impression on me with her inspirational speech. Was that because of her activities or her status? In fact, the truth was that Melinda Gates was building an impact. Creating a social impact is a broad category but it has become the basic principle in my life. There is a couple of reasons why it particularly matters to me which are discussed more in-depth below.
