Mary Wollstonecraft was a writer, philosopher, and advocate of women’s rights. She was raised by an abusive father, and when her mother died, she left home and dedicated her life to writing. She is the most important feminist because she was the first female to give women the idea that they aren’t lower than men because they can’t read or do things that a male can do.
“When Johnson launched the Analytical Review in 1788, Mary became a regular contributor. Within four years, she published her most famous work, A Vindication of the Rights of Woman.” This book inspired many women to strive for equality. In 1792, Mary Wollstonecraft wrote A Vindication of the Rights of Woman. In her book, she clearly abhors the vision that women are helpless items of a household. “ She called for women to become educated. She insisted women should be free to enter business, pursue professional careers, and vote if they wished.” She argued that women and men should be educated rationally and held to the same standards of behavior because women have the same value as men.
