Martin Luther King Jr. Was born in Atlanta, Georgia in 1929 to Martin Luther King Sr. And Alberta Williams King. From a very young age it was aware that he was very bright and was going to use his abilities to make an impact on the world one day. He was so advanced that at age 15 he attended Morehouse college. After college he graduated with a sociology degree and started to fight for civil rights for all. When Rosa Parks stood up for herself and got punished unfairly Martin helped start a boycott and this is where he really took off. Martin had his house attacked because he was the leader of the boycott he kept going even through all the awful things that were happening to him. In January 1957 he helped organize the Southern Christian Leadership conference. The point of this was to have a national organization to help with their efforts. In 1960 he was arrested for refusing to leave until he was served lunch. He preached for non violent protesting. The arrest caught the eye of the nation and he was soon let out. Soon he was going to make his speech that is still referred to often today. Was one of the most courageous humans ever. Moral courage is the act of doing what is morally right despite the consequences. There is no doubt in my mind that Martin Luther King was one of the finest examples of this. He knew what was going on at his time was wrong so he was not going to let society just do these wrong things. Martin Luther King had a plan and that plan was to get equal rights for all. No matter what he would have to go through he was trying to get closer to his goal each and every day. The most amazing part about this is he was arrested multiple times and had death threats daily. He kept going even through these dangerous consequences ('Dr. King').
The people that helped save Jews from the holocaust, for example Carl Lutz, and Martin Luther King have very similar stories. They both show moral courage in how a group of people were unfairly treated and they were not going to let these actions happen. What Martin Luther King Jr did was remarkable. Blacks all around the nation were being treated unfairly just because something so simple like the color of their skin. Without his moral courage to get this changed who knows what would have happened. Today, we could still be treating blacks this way if
