Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.
Was born in Atlanta Georgia in 1929 to a middle class family.
His father was a preacher and leader of his church.
Martin grew up and became a preacher too. Martin was very smart he went up north to college and liked how blacks were treated there. He got a Dr. degree and started to get in to the civil rights movement. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. started his own civil rights group that had very peaceful protests and believed in not hurting anyone. Martin Luther King Jr. slowly got equal rights for his people. First it was voting then buses, schools, drinking fountains, bathrooms and then being able to go to whatever stores you want. Martin Luther King Jr. was killed by
