Martin Luther King Jr. was born in Atlanta Georgia in the year 1929. He was a Baptist minister and a civil-rights activist. Through his inspirational speeches and perseverance he was able to legal segregation of African Americans in the United States. In 1964, he won the Nobel peace prize and was later assassinated in 1968. He still remains an influential and inspiring man who saw injustice and decided to put an end to it. Through the Montgomery bus boycott and many other protests Martin achieved his goal in a non-violent manner.
