How Did Marco Polo Contribute To The World

My historical figure is Marco Polo. Marco polo was an Italian merchant and explorer, but mostly explorer. Marco Polo is from the Republic of Venice, Italy. Marco Polo traveled in Asia he also recorded his adventures in a book. He was brought to china by his father and uncle in 1269, and many Europeans did not know what central and east Asia were like, which is one of the reasons why Marco was so popular. When the Age of Exploration was relevant, many explorers were attracted to his explorations, such as Christopher Columbus and many others. Marco polo’s actions contributed to the age of exploration which inspired many Venetians and prisoners when he was imprisoned in Genoa. Marco also wrote a book called "book of Seer Marco Polo”. …show more content…
One of the important contributions is spaghetti which is a copy of the Chinese noodle. Marco polo was famous for introducing Europeans to China and Central Asia. I would consider Marco polo influential because he was a traveler/explorer and he did not give up on his dream of doing what he did. The second reason is because even though he was imprisoned he still told everyone about his travels so I count that as being inspirational. The third reason why is because he was a good person and he never killed anybody (at least I don’t think so). This has changed my views on Marco polo because before I didn’t know who or what he did, all I knew was that his name was something I would play in a pool but now I know that Marco polo was a great explorer and inspired many children and men and possibly women to do the same thing as him. Marco polo might as well be the greatest explorer if one of his books were kept by Christopher Columbus. Marco polo’s goals were acceptable like helping his father and uncle with finding the Christian priest or writing his own book, which he completed both and was remembered for plus the Age of Exploration. Marco polo died January 8 1324 and left 3 children, all girls Fontina, Bellisa and Moretti. Marco spouse
