How Did Malala Take Away My Basic Right To Education

Malala Yousafzai is a teenage activist who fights for females education. Malala survived an assassination attempt by the Taliban in 2012. She then made a full recovery. Malala was a young activist who faught for females education. Malala attended a school that her father founded. She gave a speech in September 2008, after the Taliban began attacking girls schools. The title of Malala's speech was, "How dare the Taliban take away my basic right to education?". In 2009, Malala began blogging for the BBC about living under the Taliban's threats to deny her an education. She hid her identity by using a false name (Gul Maki). She was shot once on the left side of her forehead, the bullet traveled to he jawline and then down to her neck. Malala was unconscious for a week after the shooting, during that time she was flown from Pakistan to the U.K, and without her parents. She had to have multiple surgeries, including a repair of a facial nerve to fix the paralyzed left side of he face, but she didn't suffer major brain damage. In less than three months after being gunned down Malala was discharged from the hospital. Beyond her hospital room a world sympathetic with her horrific experience has transformed her into a global symbol. The United Nations even declared November 10th, Malala day to focus on the 32 million girls like Malala not in school. Malala was nominated for a Noble Peace Prize in 2013. In 2014 she was nominated again, and won becoming the youngest person to win the Noble Peace Prize. In conclusion, Malala is a teenage activist who faught for females education. In my opinion she is an inspiration. All she wanted to do was fight for girls education, but her fight for female rights caused her to be injured. She then made a full recovery and went on to become a successful female
