Honestly, I was really surprised that Macbeth went through with killing King Duncan. I did not think he had the guts to murder him. It changed my entire viewpoint of his character. In my mind, he went from a man of integrity and honor to someone who is materialistic. He wanted the crown so badly that he killed a man. If it was me in this situation, I couldn’t have killed King Duncan. Personally, I believe the only reason he went through with killing King Duncan was to please his wife. She wanted to have absolutely everything. He loved her so much that he was willing to kill to keep her happy. I don’t think Lady Macbeth could have killed the King if Macbeth would have chickened out. She seems so tough on the outside, but most people like that
