Some sources say that he wanted to“return the painting to artist Leonardo da Vinci's native Italy”,(Daniels. P.) while others believe that there was a mastermind conman named Eduardo de Valfierno paid Peruggia to steal the painting so he can make fake copies and sell it as the original,( The Times) but the fact of the matter is that he did, and right under the Louvre of Paris’ nose. One night, on August 21, 1911 it was reported that Peruggia hid in a storage closet in the museum. He had been hiding there since the museum closed the night before. After hours, when all staff of the Louvre had left, Vincenzo Peruggia creeped out of the closet and took the Mona Lisa straight off the wall. Once he had it in his possession he hid it underneath his smock and walked straight out the front door and brought it to his apartment there in Paris. The next day the maintenance staff noticed the empty spot on the wall but thought nothing of it. They assumed that it has been moved by one of the museums photographers. …show more content…

The Mona Lisa was one of the famous art pieces that was in the film. Leonardo da Vinci is a famous artist in the movie he was like the godfather because he was giving advice to Prince Henry and he fixed up Danielles dress before the ball. If Leonardo da Vinci wouldn 't have been in the movie the movie would have been totally different because the Prince Henry might have never gotten caught by the royal guard if he didn 't stop to rescue da Vinci’s painting and their wouldn’t have been someone to get Danielle out of the pantry and fix her dress before the ball. I enjoyed watching the movie, it had a good twist on the fairy tale. What I learned from this movie is that it’s never to late to start a piece of art and you never know one day it could become…

His most famous works, The Mona Lisa (1503–1519), and The Last Supper (1495–1498), represent how the artist is considered the best painter ever. The Last Supper depicts Christ and his 12 disciples and their reactions, after he says to them, “One of you will betray me.” It is considered a perfect composition and shows such particular emotions on the faces of the disciples that no other artist could achieve.
