Leonardo da Vinci lived in the Renaissonce time, a time of individual discovery, encouragement of developing foresight, and democratic thinking. Society embraced “humanism,” freeing man to use their mind. Leonardo became known as a man with many talents and skills, also a man with foresight to question, imagine, and explore using his insight to observe and record aspects of the physical world. Driven by curiosity, he sketched details of the human anatomy, which provided evidence of physiology, even the fact blood flows is attributed to his observation.
