In this discussion I will be analyzing the content of arguably Leonardo Da Vinci’s most iconic painting the Mona Lisa. The first interesting fact I learned about this portrait is widely believed to depict a woman named Lisa Gherardini the wife a wealthy of a wealthy silk merchant named Francesco del Giocondo. Furthermore, Da Vinci is thought to have intended to complete this portrait for the couple so they could commemorate the birth of their son, however he was never able to complete the portrait in time to gift it them.
